Laurel Ridge Skating Club

We are accepting membership renewals and new members for the 2026-27 skating season.

Welcome to Laurel Ridge. We are based at the Rinks at Shelton in Connecticut. 

We offer a variety of memberships: introductory, first family members, additional family member(s), professional, senior (age 60+) and collegiate (for four years). 

These are our memberships and prices: 

First Family: $170    

Additional Family Members: $105    

Senior members (age 60+): $150    

Professional Coaches: $85 (Note: coaches must have their own memberships; they cannot be "additional family members.")   

Collegiate: $190 (good for four years)     

Introductory: $45 (one-time only for first year as USFS member)    

Introductory second family member: $40 (one-time only)     

  

The new skating season begins July 1, 2026. 

NOTE: Renew your membership now if you plan to test or compete soon! 

Please contact the Rinks at Shelton for information on Summer Camps, Learn to Skate sessions, private lessons and syncrhonized skating teams. 

The Rinkettes syncrhonized skating teams are affiliated with our club. Training sessions have begun for the 2026-27 synchro season. Contact the Rinks at Shelton for information. 

In-person test session

Laurel Ridge is hosting an in-person test session on Aug. 27 with a tentative start time of 10 a.m. at the Rinks at Shelton. The registration deadline is 8 p.m. Aug. 23.

Demand is high, and ice time is limited. LRSC members get first priority. 

The tests offered are Pre-Pre through Gold for Skating Skills and PrePre and Prelim for Singles, as well as corresponding Adult levels. 

We are offering pattern dances from Prelim through Gold for SOLO and pattern dances for Prelim through Bronze for PARTNERED.

We are also offering SOLO FREE DANCE for Bronze and Pre-Silver. 

Coach approval is required for all tests. Please consult with your coach on your testing plans. Late entries with $20 fee will be accepted IF space permits.

Virtual test session deadline is Aug. 24

Laurel Ridge is hosting a virtual test session. The registration and submission deadline is 8 p.m. Aug. 24.

The tests offered are Pre-Pre through Gold/Senior for Skating Skills and for Singles, as well as all Adult Skating Skills and Singles levels. 

We are offering pattern dances from Preliminary through Gold as well as International Dances for SOLO and PARTNERED.

We also offer SOLO FREE DANCES up to Gold. 

Reminder: Skaters are required to hold a placard saying Laurel Ridge and the test date and to show a cellphone time and date.

Videos must be made within two weeks of the deadline. The time frame is Aug. 10 to Aug. 24.
