Welcome to Laurel Ridge Skating Club! We are based at the Rinks at Shelton in Connecticut.

The club offers a variety of memberships: introductory, first family members, addional family member(s), professional and collegiate.

WELCOME TO THE 2024-25 SKATING SEASON The new season began on July 1

You can now renew your membership with LRSC or join for the first time for the 2024-25 season.

A $20 late fee will be charged per existing membership after July 1

No late fees charged for first-time members of U.S. Figure Skating

The Rinkettes synchronized skating teams are affiliated with our club. Please note: Training and tryouts have begun for the 2024-25 synchro season. The team is now recruiting for Adult and Masters lines. Contact the Rinks at Shelton for information.

We also have Laurel Ridge members who skate for Team USA as members of the Skyliners Junior synchronized skating line and as members of the Haydenettes senior synchronized skating line.

Please contact the Rinks at Shelton for information on Summer Camps, Learn to Skate sessions, private lessons and syncrhonized skating teams.

New VIRTUAL test session announced

Laurel Ridge is hosting a virtual test session on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Deadline for signup is 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20.

This session offers testing for SKATING SKILLS/moves in the field and SINGLES/freestyle for Pre-Pre thru Gold as well as Adult Pre-Bronze thru Adult Gold.

Also, skaters can test SOLO pattern dances from Preliminary thru Gold, plus the International Dances. PARTNERED Dances offered are Preliminary through Bronze. All dance must indicate LEAD or FOLLOW. Partner dances MUST include name and USFSA number for the partner.

Our in-person test sessions fill up quickly. Please consider taking a virtual skating test.

COACH APPROVAL IS REQUIRED FOR TESTS. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL SKATERS.

Note: This session is BEFORE the new USFSA requirement for the skater to show a 'placard.'
