Skate for a Cause will be a virtual ice skating show to promote awareness and support for the Bon Secours Violence Response Team (VRT) in Richmond, Virginia.
Skaters and teams of all levels and from all locations are invited to register and submit programs to be included in the virtual show. Skaters will receive more information about filming and submission options upon registration.
The show will premiere on Sun., Jan. 14, 2024, on YouTube at 3:00 p.m. Ticket holders will be able to access the show at their convenience from the premiere date through Feb. 29, 2024.
Along with the performances, the show will have interviews with staff from VRT, who will share information about the services they provide.
Skater and team registration fees will cover any overhead expenses, which we expect to be minimal thanks to volunteer time and sponsorships, with the remaining proceeds going to VRT. All ticket sales and other donations will go directly to VRT.
