Why Compete at Skate

St. Paul?

USFS   ICE MEN SERIES participant 

The  "Critique" Event will allow skaters to get valuable information from the IJS system without the stress of competing.  Skaters may sign up for the event to get feedback while competing as well.  Great opportunity for the Test Track skater and skaters working on new programs.

PARTNERED DANCE is new this year. National Dance judges will judge the event.  

PAIRS events 

The Technical Element Challenge (IJS) is geared to competitive skaters and will provide them more of a challenge.  Skaters may skate this event as well as the standard compulsory moves event.

3-Tier Level for  jumps and spins -- Test Track, Well Balanced and Competition level

Pre Juvenile skaters may chooser to skate a 6.0 program for FS or be judged by IJS.

Exhibition of Champions at completion of competition on Sunday.

2017 Skate St. Paul Announcement

 

OPEN PARTNERED PATTERN DANCE EVENTS:  There are no test or age restrictions for these events.  A dance couple will consist of an eligible (non coach) skater and a coach  (a ProAm Team).  

 

Event Returning to Richfield Arena.  Close to shopping and hotels!  FACILITIES: The competition will be held at the Richfield Ice Arena, 636 East 66th Street, Richfield, MN which has two ice surfaces that will be used throughout the competition.  The arena has seating for spectators and a snack bar which will be open during official practice sessions and during the competition.  Locker rooms are available for use.  The facility is part of a park system that includes rollerblading trails, picnic areas and free parking.
