CSC Figure Skating Protocols/COVID-19

  • CSC reserves the right to limit the number of rental sessions in order to best distribute ice time amongst all member activities.
  • All skaters, coaches, and non-skaters must wash (sanitize) hands before entering the rink.
  • While off-ice you must maintain a 6’ social distance.
  • The Club is not open to guests at this time (with the exception of contracted groups).
  • Anyone entering the Club must conduct a self-assessment and may not enter if they are
  • exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to COVID-19.
  • Everyone must sign-in with full contact info upon entry to verify that are symptom free –
  • This will allow up to maintain capacity limits and provide contact tracing if necessary. Additional guidelines:
  • Please enter the rink ready to skate – skates should be put on inside the rink; locker rooms are only available for bathroom privileges (not to change or shower)
  • Guests may not use any other area of the Club and are not permitted outside of the rink area.
  • All warmups must be done outside of the rink.
  • Please do not enter rink more than 10 minutes prior to your scheduled ice time.
  • Please leave rink within 10 minutes of your scheduled ice time.
  • Personal water bottles may not be refilled in the rink.
  • No spectators are permitted in the rink with the exception of adult chaperones of young skaters on-ice.
  • All parties must wear face coverings/masks when entering and exiting the rink.
  • Masks are not necessary on-ice however it is recommended that coaches/officials wear them if possible.
  •  There is no Lost and Found available; any items left will be discarded.

All groups are required to run practices using the guidelines for safety and social distancing set forth by the State of Ohio, USA Hockey, and US Figure Skating

*Please note that these protocols are currently in place and may change based on guidance from the CDC and State Health Director.

In no event shall Cleveland Skating Club or the Shaker Figure Skating Club be responsible or liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder arising out of or caused by, directly or indirectly, forces beyond its control, including, without limitation, strikes, work stoppages, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, civil or military disturbances, nuclear or natural catastrophes, virus pandemic, acts of God, and interruptions, loss or malfunctions of utilities, communications or computer (software and hardware) services; it being understood that both parties shall use reasonable efforts which are consistent with accepted practices in the ice rink industry to resume performance as soon as practicable under the circumstances.
