We are pleased to announce that the Albuquerque Open has been designated as an Excel Series Competition.

SKATERS:

To participate in the Excel Series, you must be registered as an Excel Series participant by March 1, 2019.

For more information about the Excel Series and an online registration form, click HERE.

If you are not yet an Excel Series participant, please read the Excel Series Handbook at the link, above, before registering for this competition. It may affect whether you compete at your test level or one level higher.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN EXCEL SERIES PARTICIPANT TO SKATE IN AN EXCEL EVENT!

CRITIQUES

To sign up for a critique, follow these steps:

On your home page, the first tab is "Competitions" with a drop down menu. Go to the bottom of that menu and click "Merchandise." A new page will come up with words "Available to Purchase" on the left. Underneath is a link called "Critique." Click on that link. A new page will come up, which will allow you to add a critique to your cart.

CHANGES/ADDITIONS TO THE ANNOUNCEMENT

Please note the following additions and changes to the Announcement:

EXCEL NOVICE LADIES

Excel Novice Ladies' Programs now have a maximum of 7 jump elements, same as Men's (Change effective 02/01/19)

Entry fee for the Albuquerque Open Team Maneuvers event is $40 per team + $5 per skater

(Fees for the SuperSkate Team Compulsory event are correctly stated.)

Page 6 of the Announcement misstates the judging system to be used for some of the Excel events. The 6.0 system, not IJS, will be used for Excel Pre-Preliminary, Preliminary, Pre-Juvenile, and Juvenile as well.as Beginner and High Beginner.  References on other pages regarding the judging system for Excel events are correct.
